Community survey results
The DLPOA board would like to thank everyone who responded to our April survey, whether via mail or online. The purpose of this survey was to gauge the community’s feelings towards three key areas that have the potential to affect our neighborhood:
Animals (specifically livestock)
Auxiliary dwelling units (ADUs)
Short-term vacation rentals
How we asked for your input
Surveys were mailed out to all Dory Lakes residents in mid-April. The survey could be submitted directly to DLPOA via mail or taken online via Survey Monkey.
Completed surveys were accepted until May 16th, giving residents just over a month to respond.
How we compiled the survey results
The DLPOA board received a total of 105 responses from community members.
86 responses came from our online survey
19 responses were mailed
We used an online survey tool called Survey Monkey to gather and analyze all of the responses. Anyone who took the survey online inputted their responses through Survey Monkey. Mailed responses were manually entered into Survey Monkey to give the board a comprehensive view of all the responses we received.
How the results of this survey will impact our community
The goal of the amendments is to provide the community with legally compliant and relevant covenants which reflect the values and interests of the community, and which would be enforceable by the Association if and when necessary. The input you’ve provided on these issues will help guide any potential amendments or changes.
The Board expects to finalize the proposed amendments and have those sent to the membership for review in July, 2021. Until then, we continue to welcome all constructive owner feedback and comments as to the proposed amendments. Thank you.
