Voting information for Gilpin County residents

Election day (Tuesday, Nov. 3rd) is upon us and this week Gilpin County residents will begin receiving their ballots in the mail.

At DLPOA’s October 6th board meeting, we were joined by Gilpin County’s Clerk & Recorder, Sahari McCormick, who shared a few tips and resources for Dory Lakes residents planning to vote by mail this year:

  1. Visit www.govotecolorado.gov to check if you’re registered to vote or make updates to your voter registration.

  2. Use a drop box to return your ballot. Election judges pick ballots up every day and process them within 24 hours. Gilpin County has 3 drop box locations, available 24 hours/day:

    • Gilpin County Courthouse
203 Eureka Street, Central City, CO 80427

    • Gilpin County Recreation Center
250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk, CO

    • 80422 Gilpin County Public Works
135 Tolland Road, Rollinsville, CO 80474
(light blue building on north side of road)

  3. Return your ballot early, before election day

  4. View a sample ballot for our precinct (Precinct 3) here.

  5. Visit www.gilpin.ballottrax.net/voter to track the status of your mail ballot.
